What is Sexual Harassment?


Under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, unwelcome sexual advances maybe considered illegal if:
  1. Submitting to sexual advances becomes the explicit or implicit condition of employment
  2. The employee's response to sexual advances becomes the basis for employment decisions such as promotion, transfer, or termination
  3. The advances create a hostile, intimidating, or offensive environment that interferes with an individual's performance
