Immediately fire Tom on the spot.

In making this decision, you jumped to the conclusion that Tom WAS sexually harassing Susan and that he should be fired. Well...now you have Tom filing a lawsuit against you and HyperStat,Inc. due to "no grounds for termination" and not following company policy.

According to HyperStat,Inc.'s action policy, when a sexual harassment complaint is reported, the manager that is notified must follow a chain of events. This involves investigating the claim(s), documenting all relevant information, and informing the accused of the charges BEFROE taking any corrective action.

Not only is your job on the line, but HyperStat,Inc. is being sued due to your impulse decision. And now Susan is upset and contemplating whether any of these unwanted advances really occurred.

So, as you can see, rash decisions only lead to more problems!
