Types of Sexual Harassment


Environmental Harassment

This includes sexual suggestive pictures or objects displayed in the work area. (Example: Sexually explicit calenders)
Or a hostile work environment.

Non-verbal Harassment

This includes eye contact (ex: staring at a person's body parts).

Verbal Harassment

This type of harassment entails questions about your sexual behavior and/or preference, comments about a person's body, sexual oriented jokes, sexual innuendos and double meanings.

Physical Harassment

This is when a person is touched, grabbed, pinched, or kissed without their consent.

Threatening Harassment

This is when the employee feels that their career may be threatened if he/she does not submit to the requests of the harasser.
