The nature of form is empty. ^ Emptiness is form. ^ Consciousness is not different from form. ^ In emptiness there is no form, no feelings, no perceptions, no mental formations, no consciousness.... ^ No path, no wisdom, and also no attainment. ^ Having destroyed the view of oneself as really existing.... ^ Into blind darkness they enter,
  people who worship ignorance,
An into still blinder darkness,
  people who delight in learning.

    --Brhadaranyaka Upanisad 4.4.10 ^ When, however, the Whole has become one's very self (atman), then who is there for one to see and by what means? Who is there for one to hear and by what means? Who is here for one to greet and by what means? Who is there for one to think of and by what means?

    --Brhadaranyaka Upanisad 2.4.12 ^ About this self (atman), one can only say "not----, not----". ^ Look -- by what means can one percieve the perceiver? There, I have given you the instruction, Maitreyi. That's all there is to immortality.

    --Brhadaranyaka Upanisad 4.5.13 ^ 'Sacrifice to this god. Sacrifice to that god'--people do say these things, but in reality each of these gods is his own creation, for he himself is all these gods. ^ He prattles about wisdom with form and emptiness in his clutches,
Like a lame tortoise in a glass jug clumping after a flying bird. ^ The self has such a thing,
That can be caught in the twinkling of an eye;
But if you cannot get it by yourself,
It's of no use to beg Ch'an masters for help. ^ Ineluctable modality of the visible. ^ hello
